Brad Springer Racing had a busy week of racing last week taking the #61 RaceStatus.com, K&N Filters, Conely Engines, Classic City Automotive NAPA, TeamSE Modified to 3 tracks in just 6 days. The Speed Week started at Kalamazoo Speedway on Sunday, June 6th with the USA Modified Series where Brad qualified 9th, finished 3rd in the heat race which started him 10th in the feature. Brad had a strong run and by lap 48 was running in the 5th position when another car lost control and put the #61 Modified in the wall causing a DNF. The team worked hard getting the car fixed and ready for the next race at Angola Speedway on Thursday, June 10th. This was the Annual Stan Perry Memorial Race that saw 40 modifieds competing for the 24 starting spots. Brad qualified 4th quick which started him 7th in the 50 lap feature event. By lap 40 Brad was running in the 3rd position when he broke a rocker arm on the engine and had to drop out. The team stayed up late into the night switching engines on the #61 Mod in order to compete the next day, Friday, June 11th at M-40 Speedway in Jones, MI with the USA Modified Series. Brad qualified 3rd quick and finished 2nd in the Fast Dash. Starting in the 4th position for the 50 lap event, Brad pushed hard for a 2nd position finish. After bad luck 2 races in a row the team was very happy with the 2nd place run at M-40. Brad Springer Racing would like to thank all the fans that came out to support them last week along with their great sponsors: RaceStatus.com, K&N Filters, Conely Engines, Classic City Automotive NAPA, and TeamSE. The team will compete again with the USA Modifed Series on Friday, June 25th.
