Brad Springer Racing took the #61 K&N Filters, TeamSE modified to Angola Motor Speedway on September 4th for the 2011 Championship night. Brad started the day by setting the fastest pace in practiced followed up by setting fast time in qualifying. The car seemed to be hooked up good going into the feature event. However starting toward the tail and fighting an ill handling car in the feature saw Brad finish in the 7th position, which was his worst finish of the 2011 race season. After the feature the team celebrated on the front stretch in front of their hometown friends, family and fans as the 2011 Angola Motor Speedway Track Champion! Brad thanked his great sponsors, family and wonderful fans for their support this season during his on track interview. It has been a great season and the team is not done racing yet. Brad Springer Racing took the #61 K&N Filters modified to Angola Motor Speedway Saturday, August 13th. Qualifying put Brad 3rd quick on the board which gave him the 8th starting position for the 30 lap feature event. Brad raced his way into the 2nd position but there just wasn't enough time to take over the top position. This finish puts Brad 45 points ahead of the 2nd place car in the race for the points Championship with only 2 races remaining.
Sunday, August, 21st Brad Springer Racing took the #61 K&N Filters modified to Winchester Speedway to compete with the USA Modified Series. A strong field of modifieds showed up for the rain delayed 50 lap event. During qualifying Brad's car just wasn't as strong as it usually is and he ended up 7th out of the 24 car field. After starting in the 10th position, Brad raced hard and ended up 5th.
Saturday, August 27th Brad Springer Racing headed back to Angola Motor Speedway in their #61 K&N Filters modified, to continue their fight for the season points Championship. Qualifying showed Brad in the 4th position which put him in the 6th starting position for his heat race. This week the track promoter decided to change things up a bit and said that your finishing position in the heat race would be your starting position in the feature. Brad ended up 4th in his heat race which put him outside 4th row in the 30 lap feature event. After getting shuffled back during the first couple laps, Brad raced his way back up to the 6th position. The car was faster than where his finishing spot showed him but he again opened up the points lead over the 2nd place contender. Brad will enter into the final points race next Sunday, Sept 4th with a 60 point lead. Brad Springer Racing would like to thank their great sponsors and fans for their continued support. |

Twin 20 features return to Angola Motor Speedway. Brad Springer Racing took the #61 K&N Filters modified to Angola Motor Speedway on July 23rd for the second Twin 20 event this season. Brad qualified 4th quick for the night. Brad made it up to the 2nd position by the end of the first 20 lap event, running out of laps before being able to take the win. The second 20 lap event showed Brad finishing in the 3rd position. Overall the car was good but just not good enough to take home the wins. However he was able to pull further ahead in the points battle going into the final 4 races of the season. Brad will be back in action on Saturday, August 13th at Angola Motor Speedway. Win #3 for 2011 Season. Brad Springer Racing took the #61 K&N Filters modified to Angola Motor Speedway on July 3rd for Superior Auto Night at the Races. Brad didn't have a great qualifying run but the team worked hard on the car before the feature event. Brad raced his way to the front and took home the checkered flag for win #3 for the 2011 season. Angola Twin 20 Features! Brad Springer Racing took the #61 RaceStatus.com, K&N Filters, TeamSE modified to Angola Motor Speedway for their Twin 20 Feature event on Saturday, June 25th. This is a unique type of event for the modified division, making it much harder to beat such great competitors in such a short amount of time. Brad set fast time for the day which started him at the tail of the field for the first 20 lap event. Brad raced hard and made it to the 2nd position and caught the leader before running out of laps and ended up 2nd for the first event. The second 20 lap event started with a complete invert which put Brad starting on the tail once again. Hard racing took its toll on the tires, which seemed to give out after making it up to the 5th position, which is where Brad ended up finishing. After this weekends events, Brad is officially tied for the points championship at Angola Motor Speedway. Visit www.bradspringer.com for schedule information. |
